Dr. Saad Karim specializes in vascular neurology diagnosing and treating people with cerebrovascular problems. He has a special interest in stroke prevention, raising awareness of stroke risk factors and identifying the signs and symptoms of stroke onset. Dr. Karim earned a medical degree from Ziauddin Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, before completing an internal medicine preliminary at Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai in Bronx, New York, a neurology residency at St. Louis University in St. Louis and a fellowship in vascular neurology at Washington University Barnes Jewish Hospital, also in St. Louis. He served at hospitals in Pakistan, Illinois, Texas, New York and St. Louis before joining Our Lady of Lourdes. Dr. Karim is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Siraiki. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. In his spare time, he enjoys cricket, hiking, movies and spending time with family and friends.

    The answers here should be, "very, very, very good. The doctor not only took the time to listen the issues but explained what was going on and called another doctor while that doctor was in surgery to make an appointment. It was about five minutes when we got a call to come in and put a heart monitor on. "Very Good," you can count on this doctor.

    I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Karim to anyone in need of a neurologist. How blessed we are to have him in our area. His expertise in neurology as well as his compassion towards his patients are traits you pray for in a physician. He is a God send!
