About The Provider
Dr. Itty specializes in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, treating and caring for patients suffering from respiratory disease, as well as attending to those acutely ill in the intensive care unit. She was born and raised in Canada, met her husband in medical school and they decided to settle in Louisiana where he is from. Dr. Itty completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center located in Albany, New York, went on to become Chief Medical Resident, and continued there with a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine. She has published articles in medical journals relating to pulmonary disease and critical illness. She has spent much of her time dedicated to student and resident teaching which she truly enjoys. She is board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

So much information and details was given that really gave me relief on what I have going on. And the test that the doctor wants to do to check lungs shows me the care they have for their patients. Made me feel the trust that's needed from TJ conversation we had about my test as future test

This provider did not make me feel supported or respected. Dr. Itty answered the questions I asked but made dismissive remarks related to those questions. At one point when I asked a question, the doctor asked me if I had got that information from watching television. Even upon walking in the room, she never smiled, she never greeted me, and was very detached throughout this interaction. I am seriously considering following up with another provider maybe in Baton Rouge closer to where I work.
