General surgeon Matthew G. Hogan, MD, is part of a growing specialist team with Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group providing world-class care in Acadiana for area families. He specializes in robotic surgery, minimally invasive procedures, emergent cases, hernia repair and gall bladder removal. After earning a medical degree from Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, Dr. Hogan completed a general surgery internship and residency at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans. He worked as a general surgeon in Memphis, Tennessee, before joining Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group. Dr. Hogan is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons, American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.
