Mary Jazayeri, CNM, Board Certified women's health nurse practitioner and Board Certified nurse midwife, works closely with the Pregnancy Navigator to help mom create the birth experience she desires. She provides natural childbirth care and guidance, delivery, education on labor pain control methods, prenatal and postpartum care services and ER assessment and treatment. She also provides GYN care to women of all ages.

Certified nurse midwives are registered nurses who successfully completed a national certification exam after graduating from a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by the American Midwifery Certification Board. They are specially trained in women’s health and are qualified to provide care to women from adolescence through menopause. 

Mary earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York, before completing a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she also completed her studies as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She received post-master’s certification as a nurse midwife from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky.

A registered nurse for nearly 40 years, Mary held various positions in private and academic practice in Labor & Delivery units at hospitals in Florida, Louisiana, New York, Texas and Wisconsin before coming to Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
