Board-certified and fellowship-trained hematology/oncology specialist Leigh Deshotels, MD, focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of cancerous blood disorders and solid tumors. After earning a medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, Dr. Deshotels completed both an internal medicine residency and hematology and oncology fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she served as an internal medicine chief resident. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Deshotels serves on the Louisiana Oncology Society Board of Directors and is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer and the American Society of Hematology.
