Palliative care nurse practitioner Kristin Tauzin specializes in improving the quality of life for people with serious, chronic or life-threatening illnesses. She is specially trained in managing complex medical symptoms and providing comprehensive care that addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients. A Teurlings Catholic High School graduate, Tauzin earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she later completed a master’s degree in nursing. She joined Our Lady of Lourdes Health in 2007, serving as a registered nurse and later a unit supervisor in the Intensive Care Unit. Tauzin worked as a nurse practitioner at nursing homes, home health agencies and primary care practices in the region before joining the Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group palliative care team.
