Jennifer Bisquera, MD, a board-certified neonatologist, is part of the skilled, experienced and knowledgeable provider team caring for the area’s smallest patients in the Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As Acadiana’s only Level III Surgical NICU, the unit provides family centered care with access to local pediatric surgery and other subspecialists treating the unique healthcare needs of children born prematurely or with other health issues. Dr. Bisquera graduated cum laude with a medical degree from Our Lady of Fatima College of Medicine in Manila, Philippines. She later completed an internship and a residency in pediatrics at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey, and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Bisquera is a fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the perinatal pediatrics and gastroenterology and nutrition sections of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
