Nurse practitioner Jayne Mayer is part of the growing team at Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group Bariatrics & General Surgery, which specializes in diagnosing and managing bariatric, foregut, hernia and other general surgery patients. Mayer earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she later completed a master’s degree in nursing. She worked in home health, infusion and area hospitals, including serving as a charge nurse in the Our Lady of Lourdes Burn Center, southwest Louisiana’s only burn center, before joining Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group.
