Jason Comeaux, a board-certified physician assistant, is part of the growing Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group Hospitalist team dedicated to providing the exceptional care patients need while in the hospital. He is versed in diagnosing and managing patients with acute and/or chronic conditions, providing comprehensive care to each person. After earning a bachelor’s degree in business and political science from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, Comeaux completed a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Melancon joined the Air Force and served as a military medic at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, and later a military medic instructor at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served as a physician assistant at internal medicine, orthopedic, otolaryngology and cardiology practices in Eunice, Lafayette and Biloxi, Mississippi. He later performed evaluations and managed the health of U.S. Armed Forces at Al Udeid Air Force Base in Qatar and U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training School trainees and staff at Maxell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. Comeaux earned numerous honors and medals during his service in the Air Force. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
