For nearly 20 years, James Gutheil, MD, a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon, has focused on treating a full array of musculoskeletal conditions in children of all ages. Dr. Gutheil earned a medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, before completing an orthopedic surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas, and later a pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. He worked in private practice in Lubbock, Texas, and Overland Park, Kansas, before joining Our Lady of Lourdes Children’s Health. Dr. Gutheil is licensed by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a member of the Pediatric Surgeons of North America, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons. In his spare time, Dr. Gutheil enjoys playing piano and drums, reading, golf, weightlifting, and following his favorite collegiate and NFL football teams.
