Dr. James Mwatibo is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to building lasting relationships with the families he serves, taking special interest in motivating and educating his patients to help them live their best life. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions.



Dr. Mwatibo earned his medical degree from Nairobi University and postgraduate certificate in endocrinology from Tel-Aviv University in Tel-Aviv, Israel. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1992 and relocated to New Orleans to complete his PhD in anatomy from LSU Medical Center. An experienced physician and teacher, Dr. Mwatibo is a member of the American Medical Association, Louisiana State Medical Society and Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
