General surgeon Jacob Leonard, MD, is part of a growing specialist team with Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group providing world-class care in Acadiana for area families. He specializes in emergent cases, hernia repair and gall bladder removal. Dr. Leonard earned a medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he later completed a general surgery residency before serving as a general surgeon and chief of surgery for Bayou Bend Health System in Franklin. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Board of Surgery and Alpha Omega Alpha.
