Chelsea Lemoine, MD, is a board-certified pediatric critical care specialist who treats infants, children and adolescents admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with life-threatening injuries or illnesses, such as multiple organ dysfunction, traumatic brain injury, septic shock and respiratory failure. 

Dr. Lemoine earned a medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport before completing an internal medicine and pediatrics residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She later underwent fellowship training in pediatric critical care at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, located at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Lemoine is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Physicians. 

While earning a biomedical engineering degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Dr. Lemoine participated in medical mission trips to Kenya and Honduras. The trips focused on setting up mobile medical clinics, traveling to villages to provide medical care to those who could not make their way to larger cities for treatment, distributing medicine and educating children on good hygiene basics.
