Brianna Shaffer, MD, is a hospitalist dedicated to providing the exceptional care patients need while in the hospital. She is versed in diagnosing and managing patients with acute and/or chronic conditions, providing comprehensive care to each person. Dr. Shaffer earned a medical degree from the Saba University School of Medicine in Saba, Dutch Caribbean, before completing a family medicine residency at LSU Health Sciences Center. She is a former emergency medical technician and EMT instructor who served as a physician volunteer for hurricane relief efforts and GlobalDIRT Haiti Medical volunteer. She is a member of the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
