About The Provider
Dr. Aimee Hymel is a Board Certified general and bariatric surgery specialist dedicated to building strong and lasting relationships with patients, with a special interest in motivating them to live their best lives. She is versed in diagnosing and managing bariatric, foregut, hernia and other general surgery patients, providing comprehensive care to each patient.
Hymel earned a medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans before completing an internship and residency in general surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She later completed a fellowship in advanced GI and minimally invasive surgery at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
